GAMU – cheap flowers

Shirohana and the Bloom Room offer great arrangements, but the prices can be high, and the bouquets are often just too big. Sometimes it seems like the goal is to immobilise a girl by giving her so many flowers that she can’t see over them.

There is a cheaper option which is still of very high quality. At the florists down Dean’s Road (near the ODEL roundabout) you can simply wander in, take a few orchids, some blue and yellow filler for the sides and get it all tied up in a string. You can get a quite respectable bouquet for about Rs. 500.

The downside, however, is that these shops are usually visited for funeral flowers. If the girl (or guy, we suppose) is hip, however, this is a thoughtful option.
