The elusive Peter Rabbit has decided that this year he wants to do something quite different and special for Easter Sunday. In search of a place where he can have the biggest Easter Egg Hunt this year, he stumbled upon Colombo’s favourite suburban hotel, Waters Edge.

Together with the mastermind team at the hotel, he has put together a day of fun activities, lots of delicious food and a ton of prizes and surprises for kids (and adults!) on Sunday 16 April at the Grand Lawn from 11:30am onwards.

In true grand style Peter Rabbit will make his entrance via helicopter. He will then help the children find hundreds of colourful eggs that he has hidden all over the grounds the night before. His also got a range of games and rides, Easter piñata, arts and crafts corners, bouncers, face-painting and magic balloons for the kids to enjoy. Untitled-3

Famous story-teller and puppeteer Sulochana Dissanayake who had the kids in wide-eyed wonder with her “bunny stories” will return this year to entertain the entire family. A lucky family of four can also enjoy a scenic tour in Peter Rabbit’s helicopter amongst many other prizes up for grabs in the raffle draw.

While the kids enjoy the fun and frolic, he has also instructed the award-winning culinary team headed by Executive Chef Buddhika Samarasekera and Chef Nalin Hewage the maestro in the dessert department to put together a Sunday buffet like no other.

Easter favourites like glazed ham and roast lamb done to perfection with sauces that are just right, roast potatoes and summer vegetables, hot cross buns, and Peter Rabbit’s personal favourite “carrot cake” will be the highlight of the brunch. Well-known for spreading out the largest dessert buffet the hotel will also pull out all stops to ensure that a colourful array of desserts and sweets satisfy even the most discerning sweet tooth. There’ll definitely be lots of chocolate in the array of cakes, puddings both hot and cold, and the ever-flowing chocolate fountain.

Meanwhile, Peter Rabbit has also instructed the one and only drive-through Bakery at the Edge to have delicious wares like steaming hot cross buns, Easter Bunny cookies and special Easter cakes available for the entire week before his grand arrival.

Tickets will be priced at Rs. 3,700 per person with kids between 6-12 at half rate and tots below six enjoying all the fun free of charge. For more information and to make reservations please contact Dilrukshi on 0773 587419.
