01HUGO BOSS celebrated the opening of a new BOSS Store on 28 April at the Arcade Independence Square, being the first ever premium luxury brand to be introduced in Sri Lanka. ABANS PLC, the flagship company of the prestigious ABANS Group of Companies and a leading retail brand in the country, will be the authorised distributor for HUGO BOSS in Sri Lanka.

Matthew Keighran, Managing Director, HUGO BOSS South East Asia, Far East Asia and Oceania, and Steven Lam, Managing Director, HUGO BOSS South East Asia along with Tito Pestonjee, Managing Director, ABANS PLC and Tanaz Pestonjee, Director, formally opened the store.

This was followed by a brilliant light show that exhibited a dynamic introduction to the HUGO BOSS brand set against the classical façade of the Arcade Independence Square. The light show showcased the exquisite designs of the BOSS Spring/Summer 2017 collection, and the brand’s numerous sports sponsorships, such as Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton, German soccer star Mats Hummels, Pro-golfer Henrik Stenson, and competitive sailing champion Alex Thomson. Guests were then given the opportunity to explore the ample assortment of elegant fashion and accessories offered at the newly opened BOSS Store.

Reputed music artists, such as DJ Brendan Fallis, one of the most sought after open-format DJs in the world, and The Outlaws, a renowned music band, performed at the event. Guests were also treated to an exclusive whiskey lounge, a gourmet ice-cream bar featuring unique, tantalising flavours, and a selfie-booth which allowed guests to commemorate this special evening. A fully edible fine art exhibit was present at the event as well. The event further welcomed over 300 dignitaries and VIP guests from diverse sectors and genres of society.
