With the audience spanning from the attendees of the first edition to a new wave of music fans, jetsetters, surfers and travellers, a splashy crowd is expected for the Weligama Vibes 2 event. Also known as ‘party people’, they are constantly seeking for the ultimate party experience and can be found in unique places around the globe, soaked on bursting soundtracks. On 1 July, it will be easy to spot them at W15, all turned into the same tribe, with colourful paint glowing in their faces.
W15 notably attracts this kind of clientele since the opening, in 2015, celebrated with a fabulous party. Now, the stylish boutique hotel and restaurant has pinned weekly Sunset Sessions in the calendar. As the pioneer Weligama Vibes still reverberates success, is natural that the party game gets to the next level: “This year, we are including live performances, offering a welcome drink and glow in the dark body paint to the guests,” explain the organisers. Fireworks, special sound and lighting are also on the menu – not to mention the innovative cocktails and premium drinks.
Weligama Vibes 2 stretches from Sunset onwards with 3 DJs already confirmed in the line-up: DJ Demo, a guest DJ invited by the partner Red 107, 8 and W15’s resident Black J. The event takes place at the posh external garden of W15, framed by a wonderful swimming pool, a 13-metre long bar and a VIP deck. The settings are on the preferred habitat of the party people: the beach. There they can dance under the stars, overlooking the ever-changing beauty of the Indian Ocean and spreading their bright coloured vibes!
