Zumba Shine III, Colombo’s much looked forward to fitness event that always draws a large and enthusiastic crowd, was staged this year too by Sri Lanka’s first US certified Zumba Fitness Instructor Darshan. Lipton Clear Green Tea was a key partner closely associated with this event for the second consecutive year as the Gold Sponsor, confirming its commitment to a healthy lifestyle.

An innovative fitness campaign based on a catchy ‘3 Cups 3 Steps’ concept was introduced at the event by Lipton Clear Green Tea. The campaign encourages everyone to work out on their own, at home with three easy but result oriented Zumba steps specially developed by Darshan for Lipton Clear Green Tea. “With these easy to follow steps, you can incorporate fitness into your daily life,” says Darshan, “And follow up with three cups of Lipton Clear Green Tea which will ensure a healthy lifestyle.”

“Not everyone has the time or the ability to go for a specific fitness program,” says Rehani Barsenbach Brand Manager for Lipton portfolio at Unilever Sri Lanka. “The Lipton Clear Green Tea’s 3 Steps 3 Cups Campaign brings the concept of fitness where convenient. Combine those steps with three cups of Lipton Clear Green Tea which you can drink three times a day after meals.”

Green tea is recognised as one of the world’s healthiest drinks – a zero calorie drink, it retains around 10 times the catechins found in black tea. Research confirms that flavonoids found in green tea keeps blood vessels healthy and relaxed and is good for blood circulation. A cup of green tea is said to contain over 10 times the flavonoids found in an apple. While green tea also keeps your body hydrated, it must be kept in mind that in order to retain the health benefits of it, it must be consumed regularly and not just for a short period of time. The goodness of green tea is best obtained when drunk without sugar or milk.
