The Facebook founder’s wife kept things simple when it came to her wedding dress.

He might be worth almost $20 billion, but Mark Zuckerberg’s wife is clearly not taking advantage of the Facebook founder’s wealth.

Priscilla Chan, Zuckerberg’s long-term girlfriend, opted for a demure bridal gown at the couple’s weekend wedding, paying just $ 4.7K for the Claire Pettibone dress.

The ivory, laser-cut design, which comes complete with sheer lace overlay and a smattering of sequins, has reportedly been on sale for two years.

“I had no idea she would be wearing it,” commented Pettibone, whose website has reportedly seen a ten-fold increase in traffic since the wedding. “I kind of found out about it the same way everyone else did. (My) husband checked the news and saw that Mark got married, and he looked at the story and said, ‘Honey, honey this is your dress.’”

The low-key design reflected Zuckerberg’s casual style, which usually comprises jeans and a hoodie. The Facebook founder scrubbed up for the wedding however, donning a suit and tie.

“That funny moment when Mark Zuckerberg wears a hoodie for his company’s introduction on the stock market but wears a suit for his wedding,” commented a fan on Twitter.

It seems Chan couldn’t resist adding a little luxury to the ceremony however, with her bridesmaids reportedly given “gorgeous dresses and Louboutin and YSL shoes”. “They were all different, and they looked amazing,” a source told CBS News. “Priscilla is really stylish and styled each girl with something that was for their style and shape.” Chan may have had extra reason to splurge on the day, with news that the couple wed the day after Facebook officially went public.

“Interesting that Mark Zuckerberg got married the day after his IPO,” Bethany Frankel tweeted. “He had his wedding day then she had her day. Prenup?”
