The Softlogic retail arm, which already has the likes of Mango, Giordano, Levi’s and Nike under its belt, will add another fashion retail chain to its portfolio this October.
Softlogic Chairman Ashok Pathirage told Daily FT that the group has signed up with Splash, the Middle East’s largest fashion retailer, to open a large outlet in Ja-ela by October this year.
Headquartered in Dubai, Splash is part of the Landmark Group, one of the biggest retail conglomerates in the Middle East, India and Africa. As at now Softlogic’s portfolio of consumer electronics brands include Panasonic, Samsung, Onida, Candy, Cornell and Ignis, while a selection of the world’s best brands, such as SB Furniture, King Koil, and Sheridan, make up its Furniture subsector, over and above the apparel brands mentioned before.
“We have a few other brands that will soon be launched to Sri Lanka in the pipeline as well,” Pathirage said.
