The contribution and commitment of state executive officers towards the economic growth of Sri Lanka, has become increasingly important and impressively high. They have also shown a favourable reception to local products. In this backdrop, the Government is also paying attention to encourage local entrepreneurs to engage in high quality production of such goods.

The highest ranking state sector executive Lalith Weeratunga, who highly praises and appreciates the international standard products of ‘Nature’s Secrets’ the premier Sri Lankan herbal cosmetics brand, has in the past several years been persuading and encouraging Chairman/Managing Director of the company Samantha Kumarasinghe, to add a collection of high quality perfumes to the existing product portfolio.

Nature’s Beauty Creations (NBC) was well convinced of the need and accordingly will be launching three perfumes for male executive officers under the brand name ‘NS Black’. The perfume variants of NS Black are of global standard yet affordable to Sri Lankans.

Before the perfumes will be released to the Sri Lankan market, Samantha Kumarasinghe together with officials of NBC presented the new collection of NS Black perfumes to Lalith Weeratunga at the Presidential Secretariat recently, as a token of gratitude for his vision and encouragement in this regard. On this occasion, Weeratunga highlighted that, the contribution of private sector to the country’s economic development is as pivotal as that of the state sector.

He said he is pleased to see highly-praised cosmetics industry player NBC entering the perfume market, a request that he himself has made to NBC.

Weeratunga added that he extends his appreciation to Kumarasinghe for his undying and successful entrepreneurial efforts in this regard. He said high-quality local products certainly contribute to well-portray the Sri Lankan image globally.

“The contribution of state sector to economic development is stronger and extensive than ever before and NBC has been able to produce perfumes to suit the needs and buying power of state executive officers,” Kumarasinghe said. NS Black is on par with foreign perfumes yet offered at an affordable price. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Weeratunga for his encouragement to manufacture perfumes that are of high quality to suit the local clientele.

Developed under international perfumery standard procedures, the collection of men’s cologne has been categorised into three variants: Silent; private and confidential, Brave: make the first move and Naughty; for good boys. “The three fragrances would symbolise the silent courage and determination, gregarious nature, power and love of men,” Head of NBC Creative Anuththara Hapuarachchi stated.

“The extravagant perfume NS Black-Silent is designed based on a novel concept and it is a tribute to the silent service of executive officers who protect s the confidentiality of the workplace while solving intensifying issues.

The grandeur in silence and the great determination is appreciated under the name ‘silent’ designed especially for executive officers,” Hapuarachchi added. She also noted that the NS Black-Brave fragrance is homage for the war heroes, officers from the security forces who are now in service for the country’s development and for all the other daring men out there. “Physical strength, muscularity and mental strength is showcased through this unique perfume,” she mentioned.

“The mischievous, friendly and jovial officers who carry great personalities would choose the NS Black-Naughty which synchronises with the charisma of modernised officer’s while mingling with his feelings,” Anuththara Hapuarachchi stated with excitement.

Since its inception in 2000, NBC has taken giant strides to become Sri Lanka’s largest and first natural herbal cosmetic producer adhering to the European recognised Good Manufacturing Practice guidelines and internationally recognised ISO 9001 and ISO 4001 standards.

NBC entered the fragrance market in January with the perfume brand S-Cologne that gave birth to three variants dedicated for executive ladies. NS-Black came to life to serve the Sri Lankan gentlemen as the next successful step.
