Noritake Lanka Porcelain last week unveiled its latest range of fine porcelain, bone china, stoneware and cutlery at the Hilton Colombo.
The theme of the evening revolved around the Nil Manel – the blue lotus - which symbolises many of the aspects that are shared by the creed of Noritake, such as ‘Harmonious co-existence,’ ‘Mutual prosperity,’ ‘Social contribution,’ ‘Trust first; and ;Cooperation with integrity’.
The invitations encompassed the synergy between Japan and Sri Lanka, utilising the Japanese art of paper folding – origami – to create the blue lotus. The evening commenced with a scintillating lotus dance which was followed by a welcome address by Noritake Lanka Porcelain Ltd. Chairman Y. Mubachi.
A striking video presentation led guests through Noritake’s journey of global success that began over a century ago. The launch of five ranges of fine porcelain ware, stone ware, bone china and cutlery showcased a foretaste of the exquisite craftsmanship and quality that has become the standard of perfection now and in the future.
The five ranges launched are:

The vote of thanks was given by Director/General Manager Sujatha Egodagedera and soon after a raffle draw was held with the giving away of valuable prizes for three lucky guests at the event.
Guests were treated to exquisitely laid displays and an evening with well-choreographed dance entertainment, with fellowship and cocktails.
