World-renowned Swiss watch brand Omega, along with its Sri Lankan partner Chatham Luxury, hosted a special screening of the latest instalment of the James Bond franchise for their customers.

The exclusive event was held at the luxurious Empire Cinema, at the Arcade Independence Square, a venue that emulated the elegance and opulence of both the Omega and Bond brands, and was transformed with a ‘black carpet’ entrance flanked by Omega Bond visual, setting the stage for the movie experience.

Representing his naval history and distinguished character, the Omega Seamaster has been James Bond’s watch of choice since Golden Eye hit screens in 1995. Now seen as an essential piece of Bond’s iconic attire, it has reliably served him on every dangerous mission since then.

This unique Seamaster 300 is the actual model worn by James Bond in ‘Spectre’ and its release marks the first time that the exact model worn by 007 is released as a limited edition. The watch comes in a robust stainless steel case with a sleek, black and grey striped NATO strap and is powered by the Omega Master Co-Axial calibre 8400, a revolutionary movement that is resistant to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss.

Guests were able to get hands on experience with the watch, which was on display at the event, and is available at Chatham Luxury’s Colombo and Galle Boutiques. The screening was preceded by cocktails and canapés at the Asylum Bar featuring a series of specially made James Bond cocktails. In true Hollywood style, guests were also presented with Limited Edition Omega Spectre merchandise, completing a unique and exclusive evening. Earlier that week Chatham and Omega also participated in an exclusive event hosted by the British High Commission in Sri Lanka, as part of their overall celebrations of the launch of Spectre.
