Performing Chinese art festival in Colombo

A large scale performance was held at Nelum Pokuna Performing Arts Theatre to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year and Sri Lanka’s Independence Day. The event was organised by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Sri Lanka in collaboration with Chinese companies, Confucius Institute Sri Lanka, Overseas Chinese Association and the China-Sri Lanka Friendship organisations.  

Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa was the Chief Guest at this festive celebration. Wu Jianghao, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Sri Lanka, and three commanders from the Forces also graced the celebration.
