Vipula Wanigasekera’s maiden book on spirituality will be launched in this month which is expected to create interest among the visitors into the country for spiritual development. The book is a result of his study on comparative Religion which would be reviewed by Prof. Carlo Fonseka at the launch.
The book is elegantly designed with a modern concept and a thematic photography urging the potential readers to take a look at the inner pages and make them aware that Sri Lanka has a philosophy to offer which is priceless in terms of what is gained in a life time.
The book suggests that there is no path to freedom. The path itself is the freedom. This is an unorthodox publication which has moved away from conventional ways of presenting spirituality that are meant to be relieving people from suffering.
This book shows the fallacy of the conditioning which makes us think and act in a particular way. There is no person who attains enlightenment. It is the awareness itself that finds its home after being overshadowed by the mind activities or mental noise.
This book, although deals with pointers, is a direct path teaching for those who are really looking for something meaningful. It calls for you to go deeper. Like questioning as to who owns our mind. We often hear, trying to control the mind, but then who does that? This is what this book will answer.
The book emphasises that freedom is not something that is out there to reach. It is already with you and in you. You only need to discover this within. Most challenging of spirituality is to find something that is extraordinarily simple. Yet our minds are instruments that take us into complexity. That’s why we have them.
The theme of the book is ‘truth is simple’. And it is so simple that most people fail to see the obvious’ and it calls for readers to look at the ‘pointers’ presented in this book, to discover who they really are not who they appear to be, and there will be freedom!!!
