At the core of the Dove brand, is the belief that every woman is beautiful, irrespective of body shape, size and colour. In line with its campaign ‘Real Women, Real Beauty’, Unilever Sri Lanka’s premier hair care brand, together with Nayana Karunaratne, will showcase Sri Lanka’s beautiful hair at an event themed ‘Real Women, Real Beauty’ on 28 May at the Cinnaman Grand, Colombo.

The sensational event will feature 48 real women from a variety of professions and will bring to life the Dove range and its expertise in caring for hair.  These women will go on to showcase the three variants of Dove hair in three different segments: office wear, daily wear, cocktail wear followed by a surprise segment depicting the latest additions to the Dove portfolio. The women who will take on the runway at this event will show the audience that Dove is a brand dedicated to bringing out the real beauty in every woman. While the entire show will be choreographed by Lou Ching Wong, these real women will walk the runway with alluring hairstyles done by Nayana and her team.

Speaking about the event, grooming specialist and hairstylist, Nayana Karunaratne said, “Our aim is to show everyone that Dove has something special for all types of hair. Dove is dedicated to bring out the true beauty of all women and show them that they are beautiful in their own way.”

“It is interesting training all these ladies, as all of them are fresh to the ramp. This show is a unique concept since these are all real women for whom we will be creating unique designs and styles that are fashionable, yet elegant,” said fashion designer and choreographer, Lou Ching Wong.

Commenting on the Dove product range, Unilever Sri Lanka Hair Care Category Head Wathsala Aluthgedera said, “Dove is committed to help all women realise their personal beauty potential by creating products that deliver genuine improvement to the condition of their hair. Every woman aspires to look beautiful and having healthy hair plays an important role in this. Dove believes that beauty should be for everyone because when you look and feel your best, you feel better about yourself. This promise remains at the heart of every product released under the Dove brand name”.

“In addition to this unique hair fashion show, we are excited to celebrate the launch of a new addition to our Dove portfolio. This is yet another extension to the Dove hair care range and we will continue to add great variants that suit various types of hair,” commented Dove hair care Brand Manager Janmesh Antony.

With the launch of the new product, Dove is concentrating on repositioning itself to address two important hair care needs for women. While one segment will be the ‘Dove Damage Solutions’, the other segment will be the ‘Dove Nutritive Solutions’. The variants in the damage solutions segment will aim at repairing hair using fibre active technology and micro moisture serums. The variants which belong to the nutritive solutions category will aim at nourishing the hair with special nutritive serums and oils.
