Born in the suburbs of Miami, Florida and raised in Anne Arundel Country, Chef Doug Dillard has been in the food and hospitality industry for 12 plus years; during which he worked his way up from a Garde Manger cook for the Renaissance Harbour Place Hotel in Baltimore’s inner harbour, to his current role as Executive Sous Chef for the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront in the premier Harbour East neighbourhood.
His immeasurable expertise in sea food related cuisine owing to the constant exposure into locations world renowned for its sea food, has lead Chef Doug on a journey to captivate the hearts of all seafood loving Sri Lankans.
The Maryland Seafood Festival is a rich tradition in the States and has been held annually for 40+ years, gathering crowds from all parts of the world of all ages, to celebrate the wonders of seafood cuisine and most importantly, guaranteed fun!
This is why Maryland USA, internationally reputed for its great seafood, along with Chef Doug, has influenced MLH this season to bring to you a tasty, entertaining tradition, with great music and great food celebrating, the mouth-watering taste extravaganza of all things sea-food.
Popular for his scintillating USA inspired signature dishes, Chef Doug is all geared up to take the guests of Mount Lavinia Hotel on a journey that will allow you to truly experience the flavours of great sea food.
This family oriented fun feasting event will take place from 15 to 22 February at the Seafood Cove, from 7 p.m. till 11 p.m. based on a wide variety of exquisite seafood cuisine offered on A’la carte basis.
For those looking for a lively yet relaxing celebration of the great seafood Maryland has to offer, Chef Doug is also setting up a succulent Slow Food dinner, on 25 February, at the Tropical Hut from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Tickets will be priced at Rs. 2,350++, which also entitles you to a flavoursome pre dinner celebration of the pairing of extra cocoa induced chocolate and rum!
