Spend your New Year’s Eve at Cinnamon’s city hotels

Where better to end this year and start a brand new one wishing for the very best than from the best hotels in the city! Cinnamon’s city hotels – Cinnamon Grand, Cinnamon Lakeside and Cinnamon Red – are all set to celebrate the New Year’s Eve with bountiful buffets and gourmet dishes, toe-tapping fun and fabulous experiences. 

Cinnamon Grand

The hotel’s The Taprobane restaurant will lay out a gala buffet at Rs. 8,000 and Rs. 3,000 for adults and kids at two sittings while the Noodles restaurant will bring back its all-you-can-eat feast at Rs. 4,500 and Rs. 1,500 for adults and kids, also at two sittings.

Fine dining The London Grill will wow guests with an eight-course gourmet set menu priced at Rs. 12,500 while Tao will have a six-course fusion set menu for Rs. 8,000. The Lagoon will present a seafood infinity buffet at Rs. 9,500 and Rs. 1,500; Echo an Italian buffet at Rs. 7,500 and Rs. 1,500 and Chutneys a South Indian Buffet at Rs. 5,000 and Rs. 1,500 for adults and kids respectively. Owing to the success of the Nuga Gama Sri Lankan buffet, the restaurant will be open on 31st night for Rs. 4,500 for adults and Rs. 2,000 for kids and will feature a winning spread of authentic dishes.

All diners are also welcome to join the pool party at Breeze Bar for the dawn of the New Year. Live music by an acclaimed band and DJ will keep the party going till the wee hours of the first day of the year, while a spectacular firework display will herald in the year.

All dinners will start at 7 p.m., except for Noodles which will commence at 6:30 p.m. The two sittings will start at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

Few tickets are also left for the grand New Year’s experience with Platinum – ABBA Tribute Band and Beatlemania – the ultimate Beatles act at the Oak Room. Tickets are priced at Rs. 18,000 and include gala dinner buffet, complimentary beverages and a fabulous Sri Lankan breakfast.

Cinnamon Lakeside

The all-day restaurant, The Dining Room will offer an international feast for patrons to enjoy. The popular Royal Thai and Long Feng restaurants will offer special four-course set menus catering to the specialised tastes of Thai and Chinese cuisine respectively. All three restaurants will serve guests in two sittings, with first sitting (7 p.m.) priced at Rs. 7,500 for adults and Rs. 3,750 for kids and second sitting (9:30 p.m.) priced at Rs. 8,500 and Rs. 4,250 for adults and Rs. 4,250 for kids.

A special New Year’s Eve Dinner Cruise will take place at the Eight Degrees North, setting sail at 8 p.m. With a free flow of sparkling, live band and a unique view of fireworks, this experience is priced at Rs. 7,750 for adults and Rs. 3,875 for kids. The Library will host an exclusive party for members and in-house guests as well.

For those joining Cinnamon Lakeside on New Year’s Eve at the restaurants, the New Year Countdown at the Terrace is a complimentary party that features DJ music and fireworks at midnight.

Cinnamon Red

Guaranteeing an impressive view along with the last meal for the year, Cinnamon Red’s highest rooftop bar Cloud Red will serve an international buffet at Rs. 13,000 and Rs. 6,500 for adults and kids. With live music, the dinner will be on from 8 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. On the other side, the poolside will also be lit up for a romantic dinner for the same price at the same time.

The hotel’s Flavoured restaurant also offers an international buffet for guests to relish. Held at two sittings at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., the prices are Rs. 4,700 for adults and Rs. 2,350 for kids for the first sitting and Rs. 5,880 for adults and Rs. 2,940 for kids for the first sitting.
