Sri Lankan OMC experts take centre stage at MHS training in Malaysia

OMC Asia Zone President Nayana Karunaratne together with OMC World Championship Silver Medallist Emma Ekman, OMC Judge Johann Peiris and OMC Asia Cup winner Nihal Ranathunge who took time out of their busy schedules, travelled to Malaysia on the invitation of the Malaysian Hairdressers Association ( MHA) to run two inspiring workshops for its members on OMC competition winning criteria. It was the first time that a seminar of this nature was held in Malaysia. The seminar was organised and coordinated by OMC Asia Zone.
The OMC World Hairdressing “Compete to Win” seminars were held recently, hosted by MHA with the fullest cooperation of the Malaysian Government. It was held in lieu of the forthcoming OMC Asia Cup 2015 event to be hosted in Malaysia.
MHA National Expert (Hairdressing) Malaysia Khal Khalil paid tribute to the untiring efforts made by OMC in initiating the continuity of the program via the seminar by stating: “For the first time in Malaysia, we have been exposed to several new techniques and methods from OMC that is hardly seen or experienced in Malaysia. The combination of hair and make-up methods demonstrated has brought a new dimension to hairdressing in Malaysia and the exposure for us to learn and adapt to the correct way of executing such amazing art in beauty and hairdressing.”
He added, “Nayana Karunaratne and Emma Ekman with their combination of hair-dos, truly inspired us with all the special techniques and the outstanding results they produced. Nevertheless, the creative stage makeup and fantasy work demonstrated by Johann Pieris and Nihal Ranathunge made the audience speechless with the amazing results.”
