Shopaholics, start your engines, a local version of the global shopping phenomenon known as Black Friday is set to hit the shores of Sri Lanka. So here is what you need to know to make sure you get the very best deals possible:

What is Black Friday?

Black Friday originally an American tradition, dropping on the day after Thanksgiving each year, is the busiest shopping day in the USA. Many stores lower their prices for products, give crazy discounts and special offers in an attempt to lure price-conscious consumers.

When is Black Friday?

While Black Friday 2016 doesn’t technically arrive until 25 November, insanely deep discounts are already being showcased as countdown deals for Black Friday on online shopping sites such as Daraz.lk—rumoured to be introducing Black Friday to Sri Lanka.

Where can I get the

best deals?

Daraz has brought it right to your home; unlike in the US where shoppers line up for hours to access stores and endure long hours of traffic jams, Daraz will save you the hustle by allowing you to pay by cash or card and delivering right to your doorstep.

What kind of deals will

be available?

At the time of writing, of the very few deals that have been leaked/released most seem to be across tech products such as the iPhone 7 and 32 inch TVs. However, based on Daraz’s campaign, about 90% of the deals will only be released on the 25th and are said to be across a range of fashion, home appliances, and electronics. Some of the participating brands based off of the leaked deals include Timberland, Skullcandy, Ariete, Magic Bullet, Micromax, Canon, Singer, and Samsung.

What else do I need

to know?

Daraz’s price drops are expected to be astounding, but there are also severe restrictions on the availability. A limited amount of price-reduced merchandise will be available and a few of these deals will be released much earlier as countdown deals to Black Friday to give shoppers a taste of what to expect.

Everything is on sale. Get ready for the most destructive deals ever! Don’t miss out on Sri Lanka’s first Black Friday!

Sign up on Darazwww.daraz.lk and receive timely updates. The prices are too low to be true! The countdown is on! Go!
