The Colombo Flea Market will be held on Sunday, 19 March, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 80 Club Colombo. The sale, which focuses on sustainability, will feature vendors with many kinds of items in store for shoppers. Don’t forget to bring along reusable shopping bags and food containers – remember, it’s a zero waste event!
Products include clothes, books, DVDs, CDs, jewels, kitchen and home stuff and many other things. There are food stalls as well so you can beat those hunger pangs while browsing or get something delicious to take home!
Run by the Sustainability Hub Sri Lanka, which advocates for exchange, reuse and recycling of products, the flea market encourages people to book stalls and bring along their things which are gathering dust at home with no intention of being used again. These items can be sold at the flea market, where someone else might have a need for them!
For those who have nothing to sell, the market offers a great opportunity for some sustainable shopping!
