The Chariot lays foundation stone for mega industrial kitchen

The Chariot, a Sri Lankan restaurant that’s synonymous with scrumptious short-eats, delicious sweets and fiery local dishes, laid the foundation stone for a state-of-the-art mega industrial kitchen on 19 February, in a perfect location in Malabe, within the capital of Sri Lanka.
Identifying a need of the discerning customers, the two acre land in Malabe the curative power of nature in the city is projected to complete a 100 pax banqueting facility with a spacious garden area and with a recreation facility on top of it enjoying delicious food and beverages throughout the stay.
Malabe is an eco-friendly area that borders the greater Colombo within half an hour and just 10 km away from the commercial capital Colombo, while making it easily accessible for any organisation to hold day events such as corporate meetings, conferences, training programs, dealer meetings, staff gatherings and also family functions like birthday parties, weddings and any other social gatherings and ceremonies where you can enjoy the environment of the nature and the greenery leaving behind the hustle and bustle of the busy Colombo.
The Chariot is very concerned about their supreme service to their valued customers and will ensure star class service all the time.
The architectural structure is designed to be great of its kind and will build in its own style, superbly equipped with modern amenities to delight each and every customer. The new venture is the brainchild of Shehan Gomez – the young entrepreneur who is now heading the business operations of The Chariot chain of restaurants presently located in Bambalapitiya, Maya Avenue, Dehiwela, Moratuwa, Panadura, Pelawatte and World Trade Centre.
Shehan is overwhelmed about the launch of the new concept with a passion and commitment to the business, driven by his youthful spirit and innovative thinking towards achieving the goals of The Chariot, particularly catering the best food in town. Tasty Food is the main ingredient of The Chariot and the new industrial kitchen is in the hands of a food expert Chef S. Mahendra – Executive Sous Chef. He had been serving for Waters Edge as a Sous Chef for nine years, as Demi Chef de Partie at Kandalama and a few International hotel chains in Dubai and Maldives prior to joining The Chariot chain.
The project is due to complete in June 2014.
Furthermore, The Chariot is catering the meals to Trillium residencies, S. Thomas’ College – Mount Lavinia, British School in Colombo, while undertaking food and beverage catering for all types of functions ranging from large gatherings and corporate events to kids parties and welcome any inquiries and orders for such catering needs.
