This December at the Lionel Wendt, a number of top theatre artists in Sri Lanka will be brought together in a festival of absorbing, entertaining, and high quality plays.

The festival has plays for everyone in the family – from the classic musical ‘Snow White’ created specially for children, to original Sri Lankan plays like ‘Vikurthi’ and ‘Kalumaali,’ to international adaptations like ‘The House of ‘Bernarda Alba’ and ‘Blood Wedding.’

Together, these plays will cover issues local and international, current and eternal, from experiences and insights specific to Sri Lankan society to universal themes of love, human freedom, motherhood, education, family relationships and fairytales.

With plays which can be enjoyed and absorbed by adults and children alike, this festival, which will be held over the December holidays, is a must-see for Colombo audiences, both the young and young at heart.
