The Wedding Show goes down under on 27 and 28 Feb

Asia Exhibition and Conventions recently announced that it will be introducing the ‘Wedding Show in Melbourne 2016’ which will be taking place on 27 and 28 February. 

The Wedding Show in Melbourne targets more than 100,000 Sri Lankans living there and aims to get the best out of the available opportunities for Professional Wedding Planners, Jewellery and Bridal Dress Designers, Bridal and Beauty Salons, Professional Photographers, Luxury Hotels, Travel Agencies among others.

The exhibition will provide a platform for these product service providers under a one roof and will have a total of 50 stalls. 

“Every year Melbourne is the place where a majority of Sri Lankans migrate to other than Canada,” said Second Chance Flowers Managing Director Suminda Perera. 

“There is a large Sri Lankan community living there and we intend to make the best out of this prospect,” he added.

Furthermore he stated that within the past eight years that the Wedding Show has taken place in Colombo, all of the exhibitors  have been successful in marketing their products and services and gaining profits. He is confident that the Wedding show in Melbourne will be as successful, since the Australian city offers a myriad of opportunities for marketing and investment. 

He went on to say that there many Sri Lankans living in Melbourne who have lost touch with their Sri Lankan culture and its traditions concerning marriage. The exhibition will provide them with the added benefit of expert advice on this subject, along with the necessary services and products. 

“It is important to take this chance to bring Sri Lanka on to the global platform without losing touch with what is truly Sri Lankan,” declared State Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources Management Vasantha Senanayake. 

Asia Exhibition and Conventions has already planned to take the exhibition to the United Kingdom and Dubai in order to promote Sri Lanka as a wedding destination and promote the country’s cultural values as well. 

Hailed as Sri Lanka’s most prestigious bridal exhibition, The Wedding Show 2016 will take place at the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Memorial Exhibition Centre for the ninth consecutive year from 12-14 of this month. 

This year’s exposition will see the participation of 150 professionals from different industries exhibiting their products and services, and 20,000 people are expected to attend within the three days. 

This exhibition also aims to be a platform in planning wedding arrangements according to the varying individuals’ aspirations and desires at a very competitive rate with total reliability.
