Trekurious hosted its first-ever ‘Winemaker Series’ dinner in India in partnership with Delhi Art Gallery, offering an incomparable evening of wine, food, art, and great conversation that featured the pioneer of viticulture in India, Rajeev Samant, the founder and CEO of Sula Vineyards, India’s first world-class winery. Rajeev shared his personal story and that of Sula Vineyard’s over a delicious four-course dinner that has been carefully paired with five of his finest wines from Sula Vineyard’s estate in Nashik. The dinner was preceded by an exclusive curated tour of the noteworthy exhibit, ‘Indian Portraits: the Face of a People’ by the curator Delhi Art Gallery Head of Exhibitions and Publications Kishore Singh. ‘Indian Portraits’ charts over two centuries of the art of portraiture in Indian art, and includes the work of such iconic artists as Raja Ravi Varma, Pestonji Bomanji, and M.V. Dhurandhar, as well as the modernist masters M.F. Husain, F.N. Souza, and Jamini Roy. Trekurious Co-founder and CEO Rukmankan Sivaloganathan commented on the collaboration: “Trekurious is honoured to partner with two iconic Indian brands, Sula Vineyards and Delhi Art Gallery, for the launch of our premium travel and lifestyles experiences in India.” Samant stated: “As a proud supporter of the arts, we at Sula could not wish for a better partner than Trekurious to bring together great wine, fine art and flowing conversation to the dinner table. The newly opened Delhi Art Gallery is the lovely, perfect venue for what promises to be a very special evening.” Singh stated: “It is very exciting to be in the midst of an iconic exhibit paired with excellent wine and food that stimulates the senses.”
