YW International is the newest venture of Yashoda Wimaladharma, acclaimed actress and trendsetter, in an attempt to diversify her approach to encompass a product that is all natural and close to her heart. The company was especially established to introduce Jeval Australia, a brand that draws the essence of nature to present the goodness of a pure and wholesome hair care and colour range. Further, the launch coincides with another special occasion in that Yashoda made headlines in 2003 as the first star to launch a website. Incidentally it was the first ever event coordinated by Glenda Parthipan. Now, ten years later, as Yashoda sets on this new and significant venture, Glenda Parthipan again took the helm in coordinating the special event.
“I always wanted to diversify my path,” said Wimaladharma reflecting on her latest endeavour. “But at the same time it had to match my profession as I am an artist. Beauty, hair and glamour are part and parcel of my profession. However, I have always highlighted that simplicity is the best as it is how one can see the total and natural beauty of a real woman.”
Stressing the importance of Jeval being part of nature, Yashoda cites her own experience with the product over a period of three years as it has managed to bring in a whole new perspective to the word ‘beauty’ for Yashoda, who is also the brand ambassador for the product. “There was a change in me, especially for my hair; the volume, the texture and all other aspects improved immensely. I liked the fragrances and it was gentle on the scalp, preserving and protecting the hair.”
The range of Jeval products include 120 different shades, Argan Oil and Hemp Seed Shampoo and Conditioner, Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner, Pure Blonde Shampoo and Conditioner, Colour Care Shampoo and Conditioner, Jeval Infusions Intense Masque Treatment, Leave-in Treatment and Detangler, Argan Oil Treatment and Skin Butter. Jeval Australia, comprising of the above mentioned products, is imbued with nourishing vegetable liposomes, stability and evenness of each shade, protective vitamin D-Panthenol, low sensitisation to the scalp, perfect colour uniformity and coverage, longer duration of colour, 100% grey coverage, natural botanical plant base and low ammonia formulation that sets it apart from other products prevalent in the market. Furthermore, the range is enriched with nutrient-rich botanical formulations and does not contain any harmful sulphates or parabens. I strongly believe in that and when using Jeval, an all natural product, it gives a very good feeling.”Parallel to the launch, Jeval Australia Technical Advisor and Colour Educator Alison Williams conducted a series of workshops on 8 and 9 July to educate users about the proper use of the Jeval range. With a belief that “knowledge creates greatness”, Williams explained the latest techniques in using colour and much more to the audience. Having a wealth of experience in the hairdressing industry spanning over two decades she has won numerous awards in the colour and total look section at IHS competitions and in Perth, Scotland.
