The Institute of Management of Sri Lanka (IMSL) is launching a Professional Diploma in Business Management (DBM).
It can be completed in five months, with a progression pathway to the Executive Diploma in Business Management (EDBM) in an additional five months, the Graduate Diploma in Business Management (GDBM) in a further five months, and finally, a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) in another five months.
IMSL said that, due to the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic, the delivery mode is online via the ZOOM platform. Eligibility is three GCE A/L passes or six subjects passed at GCE O/L level, with two years of work experience. The DBM is designed to enable students as well as senior supervisory level personnel in the private sector, FTZs, and the State sector to obtain business and management training to develop their careers.
This program also caters to several arts and science graduates, who, although brilliant in their respective fields, have no knowledge of the basics in business and management, despite holding key leadership and managerial positions, especially in the State sector. It also provides a pathway to obtain a recognised professional qualification.
The first level is priced at an affordable Rs 25,000. For further details, visit the IMSL website: http://www.imsl.lk or IMSL Facebook page. The strategic partner in the delivery of this course is The International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIIKM).
IMSL is the premier management organisation in Sri Lanka and the National Management Organisation (NMO) representing Sri Lanka in the Asian Association of Management Organis-ations (AAMO).
