Kaushal Rajapaksa elected President of National Chamber of Exporters

The National Chamber of Exporters (NCE) elected Indhra Kaushal Rajapaksa as its new President at the 30th Annual General Meeting held on 20 March. A distinguished leader with vast experience in both the private and public sectors, Rajapaksa brings a wealth of expertise to the chamber, further strengthening Sri Lanka’s export industry.

Rajapaksa, a seasoned entrepreneur and business leader, has played a pivotal role in multiple industries, particularly in recycling, marine, plastics, and rubber. As the Vice President of the NCE prior to this appointment, he has actively contributed to the growth and development of Sri Lanka’s export sector. His strategic vision, backed by international collaborations and industry expertise, is expected to enhance the chamber’s role in promoting Sri Lankan exports on a global scale.

In addition to his new role at the NCE, Rajapaksa serves as the President of the Board of Management of The Management Club (TMC), further demonstrating his commitment to leadership and professional development. He also holds several key positions, including Chairman of the Chamber of Marine Industries, Vice President of the Confederation for Small and Medium Scale Industries (COSMI), and President of the Sri Lanka Pakistan Business Council. He has also been instrumental in driving sustainable initiatives, such as his ambitious vision to establish a Global Recycling Village in Sri Lanka.

With his appointment as President of the NCE, Rajapaksa aims to foster innovation, strengthen trade partnerships, and advocate for policies that will benefit exporters across diverse industries. His leadership is anticipated to open new avenues for Sri Lankan exports, reinforcing the country’s position in the global marketplace.
