Knowledge sharing session: Sustaining Growth during Turbulent Times

The quarterly “Members speak” event organised by The Management Club (TMC) Mt. Lavinia was held on 4 July 2024 at the Hotel Mt. Lavinia, Maitland State room from 6.30 p.m. onwards. KPMG Sri Lanka joined hands with TMC as the Knowledge Partner to organise this highly successful event. 

Eminent Corporate leader KPMG, Sri Lanka Partner Thamali Rodrigo delivered the keynote address of the event on the topic of “Sustaining Growth during Turbulent Times”. The session created a thought-provoking discussion among audience on the following topics which are very much relevant to the current economic landscape of Sri Lanka. 

• Why businesses stagnate?     
• Borrowing to invest – What to consider?
• Managing cash flow and meeting loan commitments
• Restructuring your business 

The session also created much lively interest especially among entrepreneurs and decision-makers of the SME sector as there was a high emphasis on current challenges of the SME sector during the session. 

The knowledge sharing session was followed up with dinner and event, providing a great networking opportunity for all those who attended. 

Due to popular demand and request of the audience, TMC is expected to conduct a repeat session in a near future date.
