The Board of Management of TMC organised a presentation and fellowship on 20 January at their Host Hotel at 7 p.m. In spite of the usual traffic challenges during this time of the day, over 30 members participated together with some of the senior members of the Board of Management.

The evening commenced with Shan Hassan making a brief welcome address and then calling upon the interim President of The Board of Management Deepal Abeysekera to formally welcome the members and guests. Deepal also spoke of the purpose of the presentation and the Q&A session and the need to maintain the vision of TMC of meeting, greeting and developing their soft and networking skills.

Shan Hassan then called upon President Emeritus Fayaz Saleem to make his PowerPoint presentation on the vision of TMC, its history, its structure, and the activities that were conducted over the years. Fayaz Saleem spoke of the new initiatives and events planned and the introduction of new membership classifications. In addition he also recognised the outgoing President Murali Prakash’s role in ensuring that the Lounge and Boardroom at Galadari Hotel which will be re-opened on or before 15 February, is expanded and re-decorated.

After a brief yet interesting Q&A session, the members enjoyed the great food, beverage and music with the evening coming to an end at 10:30 p.m.
