In the past there has been much interest in fundamental rights and writ applications. Yet businesses and their management know little of these two remedies or their workings or their value to business and enterprise.
This is the theme of the CIMA Business Brief to be presented by Attorney-at-Law and Member of CIMA Rajeev Amarasuriya on 7 November at the CIMA Auditorium.
Amarasuriya, who is a regular practitioner in the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal specialising in Fundamental Rights and Writ Applications, is scheduled to make this presentation focusing on giving the participants a necessary insight on these important remedies made available by the Constitution and how businesses and enterprises could make use of the same in achieving a competitive edge in their operations.
He is due to also discuss the defences available in these remedies and also the aspect of public interest litigation and its risk to commercial interests.
Prospective participants may contact Gayani De Soyza of Member Services of CIMA for registrations.
