NCCSL workshop on ‘Facing Competition Through Best Human Resource Management Practices’

A one-day workshop on ‘Facing Competition through Best Human Resource Management Practices’ organised by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka will be held on 5 September from 8:30 to 5 p.m. at the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka, No. 450, D R Wijewardena Mawatha, Colombo 10. With the increasing competition, business enterprises are compelled to supply quality products and services at competitive prices to their customers. Improvement of productivity plays a vital role in this exercise. Improvement of productivity of machinery, land and other physical factors is not so difficult but improvement of productivity of people is the most difficult factor as it is directly connected to their efficiency and the level of motivation. The trainer will explain about the basics of human rescore management, tools for best human resources practices, goal setting process,  performance culture, beest employment development practices, best employment engagement practices and  best human resource change management practices. Workshop includes an interactive session with industry experts on human resource management as well. The trainer is Ajith R. de Costa who is holding B.Sc and MBA degrees. He is a fellow member of Institute of Personal Management Sri Lanka and a Past President of the IPM. Costa is a recipient of the Achievers and leadership award for excellence in talent management at Sri Lanka, India, South Africa and Singapore partnership summit held in 2010. Costa is presently a Deputy General Manager – Performance Management of Sri Lanka Telecom PLC.  He is also a member of the Sri Lanka Institute of Training and Development and Institute of Management of Sri Lanka and a Visiting Lecture of Open University for MBA program. The workshop is ideal for CEOs, senior managers, HR management executives, administrative managers and SME owners involved in managing people.
