Sri Lanka based Internet Marketing firm, 230 Interactive (230i) has been internationally recognised once again with a Silver for website design excellence at the recently held W3 Awards in New York. This award comes on the heels of 230 Interactive’s previous achievements of winning Silver in the W3 Awards in 2010 and 2011. Sanctioned by the International Academy of Visual Arts (IAVA), this year’s competition received over 4,000 entries from around the world. 230i’s entry in the hotel and lodging category was for the re-launched website for cinnamonhotels.com, that incorporates an intuitive and seamless experience for customers through an engaging home page that allows visitors to search and view the Cinnamon Lakeside Hotel with ease and efficiency. In 2010, 230 Interactive won a Silver for the same hotel. “It is an honour to be a part of this award,” said John Keells Holdings Leisure Group Head of Business Solutions Nalaka Amaratunga.  “230 Interactive created a website for our hotel that is contemporary, interactive and on-brand which has helped us compete very successfully in this market space. We have also gained recognition on an international platform through this award.” Sri Lanka’s pioneer provider of virtual tours As one of the country’s fastest growing digital agencies, 230i is Sri Lanka’s pioneer provider of virtual tours specialising in delivering high quality 360-degree interactive solutions which are of the highest imagery and fully integrated to position a client amongst the best brands. Enhancing consumer experience Co-founder Mugunthan Balakrishnan added, “Digital media has now become a way of life and plays a huge role in consumer buying decisions. Our strategies are aimed at enhancing consumer experience through digital media solutions. Therefore it is vital that brands are prepared for this evolving media landscape.” The W3 Awards honours creative excellence on the Web, and recognises the creative and marketing professionals behind award winning Websites, Web Video and Online Marketing programs. Simply put, the W3 is the first major Web competition to be accessible to the biggest agencies, the smallest firms, and everyone in between. Small firms are as likely to win as Fortune 500 companies and international agencies. “We were amazed at the calibre and quality of work we received this year.  Our winners continue to push the envelope of Internet creativity and web design, and it is gratifying to see such great work from the smallest agencies to the biggest firms,” said IAVA director Linda Day.  “On behalf of the over 500 members of The International Academy of the Visual Arts, we are honoured to recognise our winners as they continue to set a high standard of excellence for Web development.” The panel of judges at the W3 Awards comprises top-tier professionals from a ‘Who’s Who’ of acclaimed media, advertising, and marketing firms.
