Star Holdings launches creative and media arm Razor International

Star Holdings International Ltd., Sri Lanka’s innovative fabric care company ceremonially opened its internal creative and media arm Razor International.

It is headed by Sri Lanka’s brand marketing veteran, transformational specialist Hashan Travis Haputhanthri who is the General Manager of Marketing.

Haputhanthri said: “It was in my mind for so long. STAR Holdings became the ideal place to initiate this innovative concept. Razor International will handle all creative and media planning for STAR Holdings. Razor International will have a Global approach. The vision of Razor will be to become ‘The Cutting Edge of Advertising’. Star Holdings’ major brands like Starlight Detergent Powder, Starlight Laundry Soap & Star Dishwash need creative attention in line with mainstream media. In my opinion – for an organisation to be successful in Brand Marketing, the main component needed is Non-Conventional Brand Warfare with highly creative Strategic Planning. Razor will do that to Star Holdings International.”

Sulaiman Siraj, MD/CEO of Razor and Director for Star Holdings said, “Though Razor is an integral part of Star Holdings it will act as the devise in-between any ATL activity. It is an incredible motivation to work with Hashan Haputhanthri, who has diverse knowledge in his 25 year experience of Marketing and Branding. Razor will remain an all-inclusive entity in the media field and will contain Media Buying, Event Planning & Marketing Research for Star Holdings. In this way Star Holdings will have an in-house Strategic Advertising Agency. I do not believe that any other organisation has this advantage.”
