The Artbox Advertising company, which started with humble beginnings 20 years back in 1993 and was then known as ‘Impressions Advertising,’ at that time was located in Dehiwala. After it started to grow, it was renamed ‘Artbox’ in 1997 after four years of operation. Managing Director Ameer Ahamed instilled a culture that innovated and created visions in advertising and that proved to be a hit with the clients as the company moved on with a service of 20 years. Artbox Advertising Ltd. is currently located at 30, Amarasekera Mawatha, Colombo 5, and has many successful achievements under its belt; in press or electronic media, event management or outdoor advertising and exceptional hoardings, Artbox has created an impression for its loyal clients which has a lasting presence in the field of advertising and public opinion. Outdoor advertising was a service that reached a climax when a bus was designed to become a mobile exhibition store/stall for their client PC House, which in turn also gave Artbox a Bronze Award at the SLIM Awards 2005. Thereon, they took giant strides towards hoardings that brought live visions throughout the country and the one created for Central Finance, a long -time loyal client, displayed a real frontage of a car/van on iron girders, blasting through an opening, balanced itself to showcase the power of advertising through hoardings, and was an impression that brought forth advertising to greater heights. Artbox organised events that made clients sought the expertise from planning stalls, interiors, exhibitions, advertisements, promotions to operations that made any event outstanding and successful. Among some of the events and exhibitions are ‘Transport Exhibitions,’ ‘IT Office 2000’ and many events for their clients. The company has steadily and organically grown with the main focus on services to small and medium enterprises, industries and the macro companies who have all benefitted by the creative and client service ability of the staff at Artbox. “We are very much focused on giving our existing clients the very best of our creative services. We hope to achieve the goals of the rich media in the future and get connected globally within the next five years. I am proud of the fact all the team players have shouldered the responsibilities of continuing immense service to the company through their loyalty and dedication. We just completed 20 years of service that has seen turbulent periods as well,” said Ahamed, the founder and Managing Director of the company. Artbox as a company has also contributed to society with Corporate Social Responsibility as a concept; the Team Artbox has worked tirelessly on flood relief and the distribution of dry rations and goods for the needy when the need arises, and this has been a continuous project whenever required at emergencies as part of the calendar of events at Artbox. Key people were awarded for long years of service at Artbox by the management at the recently-concluded awards night at the company premises.
