CIM chief executive, Anne Godfrey, has called on marketing professionals across the globe to contribute to the latest stage of the professional body’s largest research program in its 102 year history. “Over the last 18 months we have been focused on ensuring that CIM becomes a professional body fit for the 21st century. As part of this work the team has launched an expansive research program which has gathered the views of marketers, their employers and other business professionals. We explored a range of issues designed to help us better understand our markets… the needs, attitudes and expectations of marketers, the pressures facing teams and organisations and the priorities for change at CIM,” Godfrey said. “The next stage of this program is to understand CIM’s purpose and future state. It is vital that we understand what marketing professionals are looking for from their professional body and to map out how we are able to deliver on this,” he added. CIM has launched an industry consultation through which it is asking for marketers to spare ten minutes to give responses to a few questions; the answers of which will form a crucial part of our future decision making.
