CIM SL participates in EDEX for 11th consecutive year

The Chartered Institute of Marketing, Sri Lanka participated at the EDEX Expo exhibition, Sri Lanka’s largest education and job fair, held at the BMICH from 20 to 22 January. 

CIM participated at the exhibition for the 11th consecutive year with the objective of campaigning for greater recognition and excellence in the marketing profession in Sri Lanka, through education, training, and professional development. 

The Chartered Institute of Marketing UK is the leading and the world’s largest international professional marketing body. As the world’s largest organisation for professional marketers, CIM has a global reputation as a centre of excellence and the qualifications are recognized worldwide. CIM Sri Lanka is the first international branch of CIM UK comprising the largest number of members, both professional and students of CIM outside the UK. 

Chartered Institute of Marketing, Sri Lanka Head of Education Dilini Rathnayake said, “The strategic focus for this year is to further grow the student and membership base by strengthening the CIM value proposition and develop competencies, share knowledge and guide the students and the members towards a prospective career. Participating at the Edex Education exhibition provides us a platform to interact with prospective candidates and shape their future by educating them about this much valued qualification.” 

She further stated: “With the constant changes in the business environment, technology and social media, it is necessary for marketers to be prepared to respond to these inevitable changes and challenges. As the leading professional body for marketing, CIM Sri Lanka has always delivered world class support to equip marketers with knowledge, tools and networking opportunities necessary for marketers to excel in their profession.”
