CIM Sri Lanka Region concludes management training for Toll Global Forwarding Lanka

The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Sri Lanka Region recently concluded its Certificate course in Sales and Customer Service Management conducted for Toll Global Forwarding Lanka Ltd. The awards ceremony for the graduates of the program was held at the Postgraduate Institute of Management, Colombo 5.  Chairperson of The Chartered Institute of Marketing Sri Lanka Region Nadi Dharmasiri graced the certificate presentation. Thirty graduates successfully completed the program conducted during the past year and were awarded a certificate of completion by The Chartered Institute of Marketing Sri Lanka Region. The training program commenced in October 2012 with the objective of training sales executives to meet challenges effectively. The corporate training unit of the CIM Sri Lanka Region is geared towards providing training and consultancy services to corporate clients in the areas of marketing, sales, general management and leadership. The resource pool consists of well-qualified, experienced, CIM certified industry experts. Training programs are developed to meet the unique training requirements of each organisation. Trained by a team of experienced trainers led by Lasantha Abeywickrama and Nalin Karunaratne the program conducted for TOLL is a customized training solution provided to meet the sales training needs of the company. Participants were trained and assessed on personal transformation, presentation, communication skills, selling skills, customer service, negotiation skills and shared values to effectively meet the challenges they face in a freight forwarding company. Commenting about the successful completion, Nadi Dharmasiri, Chairperson CIM Sri Lanka Region, said: “I thank Toll for partnering with CIM to conduct this program. This course of training has enabled The CIM Sri Lanka Region to establish a meaningful partnership with Toll and we look forward to continuing this partnership in the years to come.” Dharmasiri further added: “The objective of this program was to train Sales Executives to meet varied challenges effectively and with the knowledge to overcome key business and sales teams’ challenges in an effective manner and I am happy to say that we have achieved this objective, through this training program.
