The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Sri Lanka region recently announced the flagship event of their annual calendar for 2013; The CIM Annual Conference, scheduled to be held on 24 and 25 June 2013, at the Water’s Edge Battaramulla.
CIM has staged this conference for 12 consecutive years, congregating the professional and business community of Sri Lanka to one forum, in order to share current and topical themes in marketing, through a panel of international and local experts. This will be the 13th successive year in which CIM Sri Lanka region is hosting this magnificent event.
The conference this year will focus on ‘value innovation’ and take the audience through insights shared by eminent speakers, both internationally and locally including co-author of the best-selling book, Marketing Management: A South Asian Perspective Prof. Abraham Koshy with the legendary Marketing guru Prof. Philip Kotler.
The conference will be inaugurated on Monday, 24 June 2013, at 6:30 p.m. followed by cocktails; the technical session will be held on Tuesday, 25 June 2013, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Waters Edge, Battaramulla. The plenary sessions will be followed by a panel discussion comprising of renowned academics and marketing professionals that will reflect and generate the right balance of institutional, professional and academic dialogue.
Speaking about the conference Conference Chair of the 13th CIM Annual Conference Sanjika Perera stated that: “This year’s conference is certainly going to bring in a new kind of an experience to our audience and I welcome everyone to join us on 24 and 25 June 2013 to experience it first-hand.”
Commenting about the conference CIM Sri Lanka Region Chairperson Nadi Dharmasiri stated: “CIM has presented the annual conference for 12 successive years; this year’s conference theme focuses on value innovation which is a much relevant and talked about topic. We are having an eminent cluster of speakers and panellists on board to take our audience through value innovation and I welcome everyone to be a part of our biggest event. We assure you that it will be a new experience.”
