Correction on Sri Lanka’s Leading Brands 2017

With reference to article on Sri Lanka’s Leading Brands 2017, which was published on the Daily FT on 24 April. HNB Assurance Plc has sent the following correction:

A section reads: “Others are still running both the life and general businesses under a single brand: Sri Lanka Insurance, Ceylinco, Janashakthi, HNB Assurance and Amana Takaful. These businesses will need to take a critical look on their future brand strategies and how they intend to approach these two very different businesses.”

The contents featured above are incorrect as HNB Assurance has segregated its Life and General businesses to comply with the regulatory changes which were brought in. The Parent Company HNB Assurance and its fully-owned subsidiary HNB General Insurance function as two separate entities, where Life Insurance services are offered by HNB Assurance PLC and General Insurance solutions are offered by HNB General Insurance Ltd.
