The Ceylon Tobacco Company (CTC) once again shone at the recently-concluded prestigious National Sales Congress (NASCO) Awards 2015 organised by the Sri Lanka Marketing Institute (SLIM), when three of its employees secured top awards in the Tobacco and Alcohol sector category.
The winners of the night included Thiwanka Bulankulame winning the Gold Award and Jermaine Ferdinandus and Esala De Livera Tennekoon jointly receiving the Silver Award.
Commenting on these achievements, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of CTC, Felicio Ferraz, who was also the Chief Guest at the event said, “Excelling in this profession takes time, dedication and personal sacrifice; this is a proud moment indeed for the these guys as well as for CTC. Here at CTC we reward innovation, encourage employees to try new things and care about their personal and professional growth. The three winners have displayed exceptional skills, identified feasible strategies to take the business forward and skilfully managed their respective teams to perform exceptionally.”
One of the most sought-after events of the SLIM calendar, the NASCO Awards are conducted annually to increase the standard and recognise excellence in the sales profession by rewarding some of the best sales personnel in the country. NASCO today is regarded as the premier event in Sri Lanka that recognises excellence in sales throughout the country. The event brings to the forefront Sri Lanka’s brightest and best in the sales profession.
Winners were evaluated on their success in meeting established company targets, their capacity to take up higher responsibilities in the corporate structure and ability to formulate creative solutions to challenges faced by the Industry. They have also been past winners at CTC’s annual Pinnacle awards that celebrate and recognise outstanding trade marketing executives who deliver outstanding results for the company.
