Elephant House Ice Cream sales staff shine at SLIM NASCO 2014

Elephant House Ice Cream sales staff proved once again that they are indeed the No. 1 ice cream sales team in Sri Lanka by bagging two awards at the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM)National Sales Congress (NASCO) 2014 which was held recently at Waters Edge. SLIM NASCO is the only national level event that recognises and celebrates the efforts of sales personnel around the country. The organisation noted that this year saw the highest number of nominations and candidates at the written examination for the Sales Executive and Front-liner categories. The Elephant House Ice Cream sales staff secured two main awards at the SLIM NASCO 2014 as Elephant House Ice Cream Area Sales Manager Sriyan De Silva won the Gold Award in the FMCG – Best Sales Supervisor Category and Elephant House Sales Supervisor Sadith Kumara Samaraweera walked away with the Silver award in the FMCG – Best Front Liner Category. The Elephant House Ice Cream sales teamare highly motivated and dedicated, they have made an impactful contribution to making Elephant House Ice Cream the No. 1 ice cream in Sri Lanka. The team has won many awards and recognitions in the past for its innovation and expertise and these two new awards will give the team added impetus to keep doing better and aiming higher. Recognitions like the SLIM NASCO Awards arm sales personnel with the strength to meet challenges and to keep them motivated. The SLIM NASCO awards were presented for the 14th successive year. NASCO recognises the best of the best in the sales profession in Sri Lanka as it motivates and nurtures the sales fraternity enhancing the learning curve in salesmanship and management, and providing knowledge enhancement in the latest trends available in the sales sphere. It also facilitates cross industry sales learning, imparts greater exposure, builds confidence among the wide spectrum of participants, and comprehensively develops leadership and presentation skills.
