Firzan Mulafer was appointed as Director Client Services at Publicis Solutions Sri Lanka recently. Publicis Solutions which is represented in Sri Lanka by the Solutions Group believes in creating contagious ideas that change conversations.
Publicis Worldwide is a successful European agency network which today spans the globe and is a pioneering member of the Publicis Groupe. Publicis Solutions is the Sri Lanka office of this global network. Firzan returns to Sri Lanka after a two plus year assignment with Arc Worldwide in Bangkok where he held the position of Director Engagement Planning for P&G ASEAN.
In Thailand, his main responsibility was in the planning function for P&G beauty and homecare products for the region. His role involved developing plans and platforms by understanding the consumer’s path to purchase.
Commenting on Firzan’s appointment, Ranil de Silva the Managing Director of Leo Burnett Solutions stated: “Firzan brings with him diverse experiences and a commitment for excellence. In his safe hands Publicis Solutions will scale new heights.”
He also stated: “It definitely is great to have a star of Firzan’s calibre back with us in Sri Lanka and on our team. I look forward to working with Firzan to make a meaningful difference for the clients and their brands which we manage and nurture.”
Firzan holds an MBA from the Post Graduate Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayewardenepura and is a CIM graduate; he counts over 12 years of experience in marketing communications and brand management. In his career he has played pivotal roles at JWT and Hemas Marketing prior to joining the Leo Group in January 2014. During his illustrious career at the agency he has gained much recognition and earned many rewards. Firzan was also selected as the winner of the Young Lions creative competition in 2009; where he went to Cannes, France to attend the Young Lions competition representing Sri Lanka at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
Speaking of his appointment, Firzan Mulafer commented: “I am delighted to be back home in Sri Lanka, where I have close affinity. I look forward to using my regional experiences to enrich the brands under my care. It is great to be back with the Leo Group in Sri Lanka who has reached some outstanding heights not just in Sri Lanka but internationally. I have many big ambitions for my new role at Publicis Solutions. I do look forward to engaging with the clients and brands at Publicis to drive them further and help them achieve greater results.”
Firzan has a unique understanding of the local ethos through his intimate knowledge of the Sri Lankan consumer. His passion for understanding consumers as well as his insights and strategic skills has helped many local and international brands to grow to become market leaders.
