Hameedia rewards staff at Hameedia Retail Excellence Awards 2014

Continuously setting the benchmark in the fashion industry, Hameedia, Sri Lanka’s leading menswear specialist recently held its Retail Excellence Awards for 2014 to reward showroom employees who had delivered an outstanding performance in 2014. The colourful and inspirational event took place at the Ramada Colombo and was attended by Fouzul Hameed, Managing Director, Hameedia, Hussain Sadique, Deputy Managing Director, Hameedia and the senior management and staff of the Hameedia Group.               Commenting on the efforts of the Hameedia staff, Hameed stated: “Hameedia is benchmarked as Sri Lanka’s leading menswear specialist. Securing our position in the fashion industry would not have been possible without the support and dedication of our staff. Their contribution is the reason for our success and it makes me extremely proud to present these awards to our top performers and to thank them for their hard work. All our showrooms have performed exceptionally well this year and I look forward to receiving the continued support of our team, as we strive to increase our market share and presence in 2015.”     Also commenting at the event, Sadique stated: “I would like to thank our senior management and staff for their unwavering dedication. Our staff has played a crucial role in helping us meet our objectives and targets in 2014.  Each and every employee has made a valuable contribution to the company and has helped Hameedia remain the market leader in the men’s fashion industry in Sri Lanka.” The Hameedia Retail Excellence Awards for 2014 recognised showroom employees from across the Hameedia network and acknowledged their hard work, dedication and commitment towards uplifting the Hameedia brand.     The night was filled with entertainment, live music and special awards were handed out to showroom employees to recognise their efforts. At the event, the key highlights of 2014 such as moments from the ‘Concept 2015’ the ‘My Friend’ project and other Hameedia events were shown along with Hameedia’s annual targets for 2015. Award categories were divided into five category; Signature Wholesale – Best Sales Region 2014, Signature Retail – Best Showroom of the Year 2014, Best adidas Showroom of the Year 2014, Best Hameedia Showrooms 2014 and Special Recognition Awards – Hameedia 2014. The Southern Region was awarded as the winner of the Signature Wholesale – Best Sales Region 2014 segment and was followed up by the Colombo North Region.     Signature Retail – Best Showroom of the Year 2014 was awarded to the Anuradhapura Showroom and runner up was the London Shop Showroom. The third category, Best adidas Showroom of the Year 2014 was awarded to adidas Havelock Town and adidas KCC was a close second. Best Hameedia Showrooms 2014 were awarded to Hameedia Kurunegala – Best City Store, Hameedia Duty Free – Best Mini Store, The Envoy Mansion – Best Mega Store, Hameedia Nugegoda – Best Super Store and Hameedia Wellawatta – Flagship Store. Special Recognition Awards was awarded to Hameedia Rajagiriya, Hameedia Factory Outlet and Hameedia Negombo.
