Hiru TV, Hiru FM win top media awards at Slim Nielsen People’s Awards 2016

Hiru TV and Hiru FM win all the top media awards at the SLIM Nielsen People’s Choice Awards 2016, creating history once again. 

Claiming the highest number of People’s Awards ever won in the history of electronic media, winning eight out of nine awards, Hiru TV and Hiru FM have been crowned once again as the most outstanding and number one media network in the island, proving its excellence yet again.

People’s Awards 2016:

• People’s Television Station of the year – Hiru TV
• People’s Radio Station of the year – Hiru FM
• People’s News Provider of the year – Hiru TV
• People’s Youth Radio Station of the year – Hiru FM
• People’s Youth Television Station of the year – Hiru TV
• Most Popular Radio Program of the year – Hiru Breakfast Drive

And also the best Television Presenter of the year award was won by Rangana De Silva of Hiru TV and the best Radio Presenter was won by Aravinda Lokuge of Hiru FM.
