HNB Assurance produces second batch of professional selling diploma holders

HNB Assurance recently held its year end conference for 2012, an annual event on their calendar, at Galadari’s Grand Ballroom. The main objective of this event was to award the members in the sales force for the completion of the professional selling diploma in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM). This institute has been in the forefront of promoting marketing excellence and elevating the status of marketing in Sri Lanka.



The Chief Guests at the professional selling diploma ceremony were Sanath Senanayake, CEO of SLIM, Dhanesh R. Jayathilaka, Secretary of SLIM, Manjula de Silva, Managing Director of HNB Assurance, and Lalith Fernando, General Manager of Marketing and Distribution of HNBA, and were welcomed by Jehan Haniff, Course Facilitator and Manager Sales Training and Development of HNBA.

“It is for the second consecutive time that HNB Assurance partnered with SLIM to reward the staff of HNB Assurance for the completion of their diploma and we were honoured to have one of the fastest growing insurance companies in Sri Lanka with us,” stated SLIM CEO Sanath Senanayake while addressing the audience. Many students were awarded and the ‘Best Student of the Year’ award was won by K.A.E Liyanage who was given a gold medal, a cash prize and a certificate for her performance.

“We hope to continue this value adding relationship with SLIM for many years to come, as it helps form future marketers who will prevail in this industry,” stated Manjula de Silva, Managing Director of HNB Assurance.

“SLIM tying up with HNB Assurance was a first mover advantage that the company gained by educating their fellow employees by giving them a broader perspective of marketing and sales in recent years,” stated Lalith Fernando, General Manager, Marketing and Distribution of HNBA.
