HP Indigo, wholly-owned by Hewlett Packard, along with their exclusive distributor in Sri Lanka, JDC Printing Technologies Ltd., has joined SLIM Brand Excellence Awards as the Official Print Partner.
“Making your collateral targeted and relevant to your customer by basing it on their demographics and preferences, helps in engaging with them where dynamic individualised print produces a 36% higher response rate and a 54% lower cost per response when compared to traditional static mass print,” said J.D. Cyril, Managing Director of JDC Printing Technologies.
He added: “From personalised marketing flyers to seasonal labels, HP indigo has established itself as the leader in digital printing and opens users to new business opportunities with having the power to meet customer’s evolving demands. Through their incomparable digital offset and extremely high versatility and productivity, their presses set a benchmark for unparalleled digital, commercial, photo, labels and packaging printing.”
Leading brands across the world has heavily capitalised on this and have collaborated with HP Indigo. Such examples include BMW carrying out highly personalized and targeted direct mailer campaigns, world famous Coca-Cola’s ‘Share a Coke’ campaign and of course L’Oreal’s Toy Story and Madagascar themed limited edition packaging – all of which have garnered a tremendous ROI haul and an enhanced brand image.
“However, the greatest challenge we face here in the local market is the lack of awareness of digital print and the capabilities compared to conventional, whether it be offset in commercial or Flexo or Gravure in packaging. Even the term ‘digital print’ is wrongly misinterpreted here as only large format printing or typically your home laser printer. Collaborating exclusively with a leading premium paper supplier, Papyrus Paper, this was the main reason for us joining a large platform such as the SLIM Brand Awards,” said Meliza Cyril, Management Executive, JDC Printing Technologies.
HP Indigo, has established itself as the leader in digital printing with its’ line of digital offset presses for commercial, labels and packaging.
HP’s Indigo Digital Offset Color process is compatible with more than 3,000 certified substrates surfaces and thickness than any other digital printing process. These include glossy matt and textured papers, card stock, plastic, film, metals, dark, transparent, metallic, paperboard, PVC, PET, Teslin, PC and recycled media, etc.
