IAA hosts seminar with Todd Sampson

The International Advertising Association (IAA), Sri Lanka will host a unique presentation by Todd Sampson, National CEO of Leo Burnett Australia, titled ‘Creativity Fear’. The seminar is to be held today, 6 June, at the Galadari Hotel, Colombo from 6:30 p.m. onwards.



The IAA, a global strategic partnership of communications professions, advertisers, agencies, media and other marketing services remains dedicated to sharing international and local best practices amongst the community.  

IAA President Laila Gunesekere welcomes the dynamic personality to Sri Lanka and encourages participation at the seminar which looks at the competitive advantage companies can gain form creativity.

The presentation celebrates the power of creativity in solving any problem – big, small, social, political, economic or environmental. It works from the premise that ‘creativity has the power to change the world but fear has the power to stop that from happening and the most successful leaders and organisations of the future will be the ones that can successfully balance both’.  Built on the real life experience of the dynamic Sampson, the presentation will explore innovative ideas, cultural change and problem solving. It weaves together real stories about the creation of Earth Hour, being a CEO of a leading company and even climbing Mount Everest unguided.

Ranked as one of the most influential executives in Australia by the Financial Review and News Limited, Sampson has also won CEO of the Year twice and has been featured on the cover of BRW magazine. Amongst these accolades Sampson is undoubtedly one of Australia’s freshest and most interesting TV personalities as the breakout star and co-host of the smash hit ABC show ‘The Gruen Transfer’ as well as being a regular host on the Channel 10 news show ‘The Project’ .
