JWT appoints Joy Chauhan JWT Group Sri Lanka President

Joy Chauhan has been appointed as the President of JWT Group, Sri Lanka. This was announced by JWT CEO South Asia Colvyn Harris. Joy Chauhan will be taking over from Himanshu Saxena as President, JWT Group of Companies, Colombo, with effect from 1 September. Himanshu Saxena, will assume duties as Senior Vice President and Managing Partner, JWT South.

Announcing Joy’s appointment, Colvyn Harris said, “Joy has strong connections with the South Asian markets, the consumers and the clients. Having successfully established brands like Pepsi foods, Nestle and more recently Airtel, Joy’s move to Sri Lanka will help sustain and develop the diverse clientele JWT Colombo has, further.” According to Harris, Joy has managed large teams and big brands and that experience will hold him good stead. “JWT Colombo is one of the oldest and most admired agencies in Sri Lanka and that will continue under Joy’s leadership,” he added. With 17 years of handling various brands and categories, Joy brings in diverse experience with a proven track record of having successfully led key JWT businesses. Speaking about his move to Sri Lanka, Joy Chauhan said, “It is an immensely exciting opportunity for me to be a part of a great legacy like JWT Sri Lanka. To be a part of a growing market such as Sri Lanka is the high that I really wanted at this point in my career. With my experience in managing international brands I feel my learning will help me grow the brands and businesses at JWT Sri Lanka while developing and retaining the pool of talent.”
