To reflect the growing importance of Sri Lanka, JWT Group has introduced contract advertising, an integrated and independent communications agency specialising in advertising, consulting, design and digital content to the Sri Lankan market.

To further build on this enhanced value proposition and oversee operations across agency brands, Himanshu Saxena, President of JWT Colombo, will now oversee the JWT Group in Sri Lanka. In this role, Himanshu will be responsible for driving growth through acquisitions and partnerships.

“JWT has always believed in Sri Lanka’s potential and now, with the changed economic landscape, we are more confident than ever before that these new expertise and skills across disciplines will benefit our client’s brands. Himanshu with his diverse experience is well poised to aggressively drive the new growth strategy for the group,” said Colvyn Harris, CEO JWT South Asia on Himanshu’s new role. Speaking on the new development, Himanshu Saxena, President of the JWT Group, Sri Lanka stated: “JWT is a formidable brand in the history of Sri Lankan advertising with many successes. It is well placed to enter a new phase of growth by bringing fresh areas of expertise and skills for its Sri Lankan clients. In my expanded role, the JWT Group would aggressively focus on opening new growth avenues and would be raising the industry benchmark in disciplines like digital, PR, activation and design services.”

Last year, the group successfully launched ‘THING’ – a communications integration agency brand that ensures seamless integration of mainstream advertising with other communication disciplines such as PR, design, digital and activation in collaboration with some of the region’s best JWT Group companies.
