Kantar CEO Eric Salama in Sri Lanka

CEO of Kantar Eric Salama is scheduled to meet with local business leaders, hosted by LMRB, a fully-owned subsidiary of the Kantar Group, on Tuesday 4 September 2012 at The Earl’s Court, Cinnamon Lakeside, Colombo.

Kantar, WPP’s information, insight and consulting division Group UK, is engaged in providing insight and consultancy services around the world covering innovation and new product development to optimisation of marketing spend and measurement of media audiences. Kantar’s clientele includes most of the FTSE and Fortune 100 companies.

Prior to heading Kantar, Eric was a Main Board Director of Kantar’s parent WPP Group - the largest communications company in the world. He was the Group’s Strategy Director and was responsible for developing client businesses, acquisitions and joint ventures, practice development, knowledge sharing, the creation of new offers and of integrated teams for clients.

He was also the CEO of wpp.com, the Group’s vehicle for developing its digital capabilities. Previous to that he was the Managing Director of The Henley Centre, Europe’s leading consumer consultancy and prior to that he was a researcher and speechwriter to The Labour Party Foreign Affairs.

Eric has a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Trinity College Oxford and an MSc with distinction in Economics from Birkbeck College London. He is also an advisor to the UK Government on a variety of issues.
