Leo Burnett Solutions Inc. (LBSI) the local office of the global advertising network Leo Burnett Worldwide, celebrated 13 years of creative supremacy in Sri Lanka on 1 June. The agency has grown into one of the most acclaimed and awarded ad agencies in the country.
The entire agency team gathered on this auspicious day to commemorate the company’s anniversary and to celebrate the journey. A cross section of team members representing the diversity of the company participated in the lighting of the oil lamp heralding an auspicious start to another successful year, which was followed by a traditional milk rice breakfast.
Addressing the gathering Managing Director Ranil de Silva stated: “Leo Burnett has grown to achieve numerous accolades over the years and for this I would like to thank my team for their commitment, passion and hard work which have led the company to success. As we embark onto our first year as being teenagers we prepare ourselves to be better than we have been, face challenges with courage and confidence in true Burnett style.”
To mark this special occasion thirteen Burnetters who had contributed to the company’s growth and success were also awarded promotions. Speaking of the promotions, Ranil stated that the key to the success of the company has always been the hard work and passion of all the Burnetters on the team.
“The 13 Burnetters promoted on this occasion are outstanding professionals who have displayed all these qualities and have contributed towards the success on our thirteenth anniversary.”
This has already been a specially rewarding year for the agency with numerous awards wins at Goa Fest, and Adfest. Marking another accolade for this year the agency’s award winning short film, “Pass it on when you’re done with it” made it into the prestigious Gunn “Showreel of the year” as part of the Top 100 Creative Ideas of 2011” rankings report, which compiles the 100 most creative pieces of advertising from the industry, globally.
