Leroy Ebert ‘Young Achiever of the Year’ at World Brand Excellence Awards

Manager Marketing & Business Development at Logiwiz Ltd Leroy Ebert was recognised as the ‘Young Achiever of the Year’ at the celebrated World Brand Excellence Awards held in Singapore last week. He was one of two Sri Lankans to receive this much coveted award.
The prestigious award for ‘Young Achiever of the Year’ is given to individuals below the age of 35 who have displayed outstanding marketing skills throughout the early stages of their careers.
Speaking about this laudable achievement an elated Ebert says, “I’m deeply humbled by this recognition at an international level. My journey still lies ahead and this spurs me onto achieving greater heights in Sri Lanka’s corporate world in the years to come. My sincere thanks to everyone, too numerous to mention by name, who helped me achieve this. I am indebted to them for their inspiration, support and encouragement.” A member of SLIM, CIM, Ebert is a Chartered Marketer and Professional Marketer and is currently reading for an MBA. He has worked for both multi national and local companies and counts wide experience in marketing pharmaceuticals, distribution and retail, transport and logistics.
A former Medical Promotional Delegate at GSK, former Brand Manager for adidas, Group Brand Manager and Manager Marketing and Sales at Hameedia, he is currently Manager Marketing and Business Development at Logiwiz, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hayleys Group.
An award winner at SLIM Brand Excellence 2010 & 2011 for the brand Hameedia he also received the CEO Awards 2011 for ‘remarkable contribution towards the Hameedia brand’. A SLIM Executive Committee member since 2010, Ebert has held several positions of importance. Among them are Project Chairman for SLIM Brand Excellence 2012 and Project Chairman for Effie Awards 2013 and 2014. He also chaired several other projects and was in the Committee responsible for bringing down Prof. Philip Kotler to Sri Lanka. He has also lectured extensively on several marketing subjects since 2008 and has been trained both locally and overseas.
